Neanderthal and Modern Human Skulls (homo sapiens)What We Didn't Learn in Tenth Grade Biology;
Patsy's enlightenment in 1960 continues:
Patsy: Two girls in my biology 100 class came out of the dorm and sat down beside me. Soon, they told me, "We're homosexuals, are you?" Well, I just couldn't keep from laughing to save my life. I said, "You've used the wrong word. Don't you remember that our professors said that all human beings are 'homo sapiens,' not 'homosexuals," and since I am human being, then I am a homo sapien like everyone else." Is 'homosexual' even a word?
Melba: I don't know, but I'll look in my dictionary when I get back to my room and let you know tomorrow.
Patsy: Okay, but I don't think it's a word!
