ROCKMART - Fans waited seven years in Polk County to see the Rockmart Yellow Jackets and the Cedartown Bulldogs play in a regular season game again and it was definitely worth the wait.
Playing in front of a standing-room only crowd, the Yellow Jackets remained undefeated on the season as they beat the Bulldogs 20-14 in overtime.
The Yellow Jackets picked up their first win over Cedartown since 1996.
It used to be played on Thanksgiving. Girls wore corsages of 'football mums': white with a red chenille 'C' or yellow with a Black "R."
