De-Cluttering

We're cleaning out the tractor shed building, which also holds what's sometimes referred to as 'The Archives of Nell Jean.' When the man who is hauling the scrap metal and trash is there, I go really fast, discarding with abandon. Left alone to sort and discard, I mostly sort and reminisce.

Today I found the program from RHS Class of 1960's 25th reunion, July 13, 1985. Listed are only 6 deceased class members: Charles, Kenneth, Tommy M. Donald, Brenda J. and Richard P.

I have a handwritten note listing Mr. Barnette, Mrs. Jordan, Mr. Willingham, Mr. Jay, Mr. Allgood, and Mrs. Abbott and 'Tifton GAE, Mr. Tibbetts. I'm guessing that all were present except Tibbets.

Among the DO YOU REMEMBER items were: Miss Livingston in Junior English....When Lash Larue came to the Theater....The Ice Plant and when it closed....The VW in the Gym....High 6 Drive In Theater....Emily as someone else on a blind date....City Drug....American Bandstand....Sandra Wood laughing in the coffin at the Halloween Carnival....Charles Garrett chewing tobacco in class....Beer in Physics class....Jerry winning the Donald Duck bicycle....Hightower Falls....Coach Nash, who passed away in 1978....hearing of classes holding 20 and 30 year reunions and how OLD they seemed?

Remember how mature we felt in 1985 and how invincible we all seemed then?

Someone sent me pictures from Class of 1958's recent reunion but did not say I could post them. So far I haven't seen them on their own website. I noticed that Coach Barnette and Mr. Willingham were there and looked as young as everybody else! I needed a key to identify most everybody.
