All I can remember about World Geography is that Coach Barnette was the teacher. Patsy and Ol' Jim sat near me and right in front of me was Thurman B., a senior.
Turns out later Thurman's sister Becky married Bernie from the midwest who worked with Lane. Not long ago Bernie came by here, riding a black Gold Wing on his way back to south Florida from a motorcycle trip to Indiana.

I loved that class.
Coach Barnett also taught Driver Training. We drove a new 1957 Ford Fairlane. Seems like his flat top hair turned gray before I finihed the class.
World Something. What kind of History did we have under Mrs. Abbott? My favorite class to attend; she didn't pay attention to the star crossed innocents passing unintelligible love notes up and down the row.
I decided Mrs. Abbott's class must have been U.S. History. I didn't really understand history until I began to study Geneaology years later and could relate the old great grandfathers to the Civil War, and the War of 1812 and how all that worked about being given land in the new country.
